Melissa Kline has been writing for as long as she can remember.
She completed her first full-length novel at the age of thirteen and has
written 12 young adult novels to date, including the award-winning dystopian
adventure, My Beginning. Her latest contemporary novel, Storm,
will be released in the fall of 2012 with DreamFusion Press, LLC.
As much as Melissa would like to be able to write on demand, she
says that her best ideas come to her when she is walking in the woods or
drifting to sleep. Her life is strewn with notes on every odd scrap of
paper - notes that spark the most imaginative narratives. “This is why I
consider my writing to be a gift,” says Melissa. “A gift is something
that you receive.”
In addition to writing YA novels, Melissa enjoys writing shorter
works and she has published a variety of short stories and personal essays. No
matter the genre, love is the central theme in her work. Melissa’s dream
is to make a difference in the world by inspiring others with love and hope. As the founder of Rocky Mountain Women Writers and co-founder of AnassaPublications, LLC, Melissa inspires and empowers others to write from their
hearts and follow their dreams.
